The new normal or so I guess it is?

As we all know these days people use the Internet for almost all their communications. When my husband was gone to AIT as well as the first few months of Korea it was one of main ways we communicated with one another. When I was finally living in Korea with my husband we had to almost re learn how to communicate with each other face to face. When we lived in Korea it was the best way for family and friends to keep up with our day to day life. It was great. I was very thankful for the Internet and keeping families connected. Now that we are in the states I feel like people have forgotten how to call. You don't hear people's voices much anymore because they don't call. We have tuned out to the world because posting online seems easier then talking to the person. It's sad really. I remember spending hours on the phone talking to my husband when we were dating and it was great. Or as a kid calling and talking to friends til the phone died. So this year I am going to change how I communicate with friends and family. I am going to take more time and call those I love. Have a real conversation with them.

Christmas 2012

We got a wonderful gift this year. A sweet family helped us with Christmas after we had to take emergency leave for a my grandma. We are so very thankful for their gift to our family! I dont know how to thank them enough. She showed up at my house and gave our family gifts I was in tears!!
The kids each got to open a couple gifts Christmas Eve and boy did they enjoy playing with their new gifts. I couldn't be happier. Daniel and AshLynn both got new toys and some clothes. Daniel really enjoyed opening all his new toys. AshLynn only wanted to open a few and be done because she just wanted to play. This Christmas was wonderful thanks to the sweet family that gifted us with such wonderful gifts.
